I started this thread so that we could discuss the "Assault on Resarch Base 24" RP without clogging the original thread with long OOC comments. If you have any questions or issuses pertaining to the "Assault" RP, post them here.

Well, this thread is really hotting up, so I thought we could have a thread to chat about it.
I understand that there are a few issue's between members, and staff, so rather than bog up the thread with them, Falken suggested it would be better to talk about them here. Which I agree with.
That isn't to say this thread is just for complaints, I wanna see what people think of our first big combat thread.
EDIT: XD
Great minds, you see?
Merged the topics.

In response:
I was waiting for the inevitable follow-up shot that would result, since Hayase did post that he was anticipating Renee's dodge and ready to fire. But since you admins saw it as being godmodding,I've edited my post.

I thank you for your mature attitude and quick response, Nightbringer.
As I suspect, it wasn't intentional, was it?
*Hands out cookies to everyone involved*
With this the RP can continue!

No, not intentional at all, I try to play fair where I can.
Do I get bonus points for fighting a Gundam with only the top half of an Ahead? :p

If you can do that, I might put her on the bounty list.

Nice to see things got resolved peacefully.
I would like to say that if I post and action that seems looks like godmodding, please tell me. It's not intentional, I assure you.

Haha, let's hope he stays that way.
Someone post! The issue's been resolved, and I want to see how far Renee can go with half an Ahead before I have to have her withdraw.

OK, I'm slightly confused about the order of the events. The SAGA fired at Renee's Ahead and she dodged. Moments later Ali shows up and attacks the SAGA.
So where do Lt. Zinin's actions fit in this sequence?
Also, if the grenade eliminated the ranged weapons(beam orientated), how come the beam sabers still work?

I think they work in that they diffuse the concentration of beam shots, while the the beam saber, which holds the particles together with a GN field, is unaffected because the blade is protected by the field which holds it together, while the mass of beams has no protection, which causes it to be diffused.
Anyways, this is how I interpret what happened:
Cherudim SAGA fires at Renee
She dodges the first few shots
Zinin lobs the grenade, which creates the anti-beam zone and negates the last shots
He charges at the Cherudim SAGA
Enter Ali, who enters the battle with a salvo of fire from his GN Buster Sword
Ali charges for the Cherudim SAGA

@Mars:
Like Nightbringer said, GN beam sabers aren't affected by the anti-beam field because they are contained within an EM field (NB said GN field, but I say a EM field, since GN particles are charged particles and EM fields are typically used to manipulate charged particles.), so they don't disperse like a GN beam fired from a gun.
I apologize for the confusion I caused with my attack; I didn't see Nightbringer's last post. I'll ask him if he'll alter his. If he doesn't want to, then I'll alter mine.
@Nightbringer: For some reason, I didn't see your post. Could you change Ali's target from the SAGA to the Exile? I was already going for the SAGA myself, and Nakijima needs the help more.

@Nightbringer:
I like your interpretation. My only confusion would be how long does the effect of the grenade lasts. Ali fired after Zinin used the grenade. So by the time Ali shows up, the SAGA's ranged weapons would be operational, right?
@Falken:
After thinking about it yesterday, what you guys said make perfect sense.
So, should I wait for either of you guys to edit a post or should I just go by the sequence Nightbringer said?
I'm cool with either way.

@Mars:
If it was space, the effect would last indefinitely in that area. Since we're on earth, I'd say the effect only lasts 2 or 3 posts?

Always glad to be of service.
I've edited my post, so that the Arche is going for the Exile instead of the Cherudim SAGA.

Oi Oi Oi, I'm confused to hell as what exactly is going on in the Thread.
First Mars tries to block Zinin with his GN Pistol II's, in hatchet mode, then all of a sudden the move has completely changed and now Zinin has a Beam Saber looming of the SAGA's cockpit?
Then there's the issue of the fighting half an MS. If you look at an Ahead, without it's lower half, it's capability is severely compromised. There are a pair of smaller GN Verniers attatched to it's Butt Area that I assume are for manuverability.
Without those, the Ahead would just be like a rocket with arms, so it's movement would suffer. Then there's the GN Particles that would be leaking from the wound.
As shown in 00S1 Ep 24, when Nadleh lost an arm and a leg, it no longer had the particals to maintain Trans-Am. Since a true GN Drive will replenish it's own particles, it could probably fight on with it's strength gradually fading, however...
A GN[T] Drive does not recover it's own power, it must be charged, so the drain of missing parts would make it lose power very quickly.

On taking a quick look at the Ahead 1/144 model, it seems the rear-waist vernier can be substituted for an Automaton container, so I don't think there'd be that big a loss in mobility, considering that the two main verniers are still intact. Also, I think that the engineers who built the Ahead would also account for the possibility of particle leakage and cut it off when necessary to make sure there is no waste of particles - it's as simple as closing off a fuel line IMO.
